Training

At Oak and Iron Fitness Cary, we provide group fitness classes, personal training, semi-private training, recovery sessions, and nutrition coaching. Our goal is to help every member in Cary reach their health and wellness goals in a supportive and motivating environment. Whether you want to get stronger, leaner, faster, or simply enjoy a workout with positive people, our Cary gym offers everything you need to succeed. 

Our trainers are here to give you guidance, encouragement, and accountability so you can achieve results that last.

Group Sessions

Our group training classes in Cary are designed to keep you motivated and moving. Each class is created by our Director of Training, Matt Guliver, and led by highly qualified trainers who know how to push you while keeping workouts safe and fun. 

With upbeat music and a team atmosphere, you’ll feed off the energy of the group and find yourself working harder than you thought possible. Classes combine strength, conditioning, and functional movement, and are designed for all fitness levels. 

Whether you are a beginner or advanced athlete, you’ll find a place in our Cary fitness community.

Personal Training

For those who want a fully customized approach, personal training at Oak and Iron Fitness Cary offers one-on-one coaching with experienced fitness professionals. Your trainer will create a program tailored to your goals and lifestyle while giving you the accountability you need to stay consistent. 

Personal training in Cary provides the individualized instruction that helps you master form, avoid injuries, and see measurable progress.

 Along with strength and conditioning, our personal trainers also integrate nutrition guidance so you can fuel your body properly and maximize your results.

Semi-private

Semi-private training in Cary is a great choice if you want more personalized coaching while still enjoying the motivation of working with others. These sessions are limited to six participants or fewer, which allows you to connect with your trainer and fellow members while benefiting from individualized attention. 

It’s the perfect combination of group energy and one-on-one support. Many members choose semi-private training as a way to train with a partner or friend while still working toward their unique fitness goals.

Recovery/Mobility

Ultimately, exercise puts stress on the body. While this is a good thing, it also means that your body needs time to recover so that you can continue to make progress and avoid injuries. In fact, recovery tends to be the most underrated and underutilized component of workout programs. We encourage our members to listen to their bodies and incorporate recovery into their weekly routine.

At the same time, we work mobility into every class while also offering special recovery classes and clinics. Your muscles and joints will be properly primed to better handle that day’s workout and you can put more focused work into mobility with our special guest instructors.

Nutrition

At Oak and Iron Fitness, we believe in order for you to optimize your results, you need to fuel your body properly. Understanding proper nutrition is essential to improving your body composition and increasing your lean muscle mass. This is why we have in-house nutrition coaches. We offer everything from personalized fueling strategies, accountability, and educational information, to body composition analyses and more to help our members incorporate proper nutritional habits into their lifestyle.

Great location, clean facility, perfect workout class! Trainer was personable, knowledgeable, and professional at the noon/lunch time slot I went to. Facility is equipped with lockers, clean bathrooms and lots of thoughtful extras in the women’s restroom (hair ties, tampons, toiletries in case you want to use the showers!) The personal training area for 1:1 coaching also looks super nice! Highly recommend the Lift class for strength training.

This was my first time attending class and it was better than expected! Awesome HIIT workout with circuits using equipment and weights. The instructor was fabulous- she provided easy to understand instructions, helped with proper form, and encouraged us to work! Everyone was super friendly and I felt great after the workout. Definitely recommend this place and plan to return!

Such an awesome experience! I haven’t worked out in a long time and I was nervous to get back into it. They were so welcoming, encouraging, and made me feel so comfortable the whole time! Great sense of community and amazing workout! Can’t recommend more!

Checked out Oak and Iron’s new location at Waverly Place today! Beautiful space with new equipment. Strong programming with focus on quality reps and proper form. JC is fabulous and I’ll definitely be back!
