Recovery and Mobility
More is better, right? Not always, especially when it comes to training. Sometimes it can be easy to get caught in the mindset that if you just work harder, you will see more results. However, our bodies need time to recover and this aspect of training is just as important as any other. That is why we put an emphasis on recovery at Oak and Iron and provide you with ways to nurture and heal your body so that you can enjoy peak performance.
Why Recovery and Mobility is IMportant
Essentially, exercise means putting stress on your body. Without a break from stress, your body will cease to make progress and you will feel like you are dragging through your workouts. Recovery allows you to increase your energy, avoid injuries, stay healthy, and enjoy your fitness routine.
Mobility also plays an integral part in recovery. That is why we host mobility and recovery events for our members. You can attend special sessions taught by expert guests from all over the country. These are great opportunities to learn and rejuvenate your body with deliberate movements that will make you a better athlete.
In fact, Oak and Iron is so committed to mobility that it is incorporated into every workout. Mobility exercises will help you prime the muscles and joints for the day’s workout and aid in your recovery afterward.

We want to help our members recognize the importance of recovery and mobility and incorporate it into their weekly routines. Recovery should be a proactive part of your regimen instead of something you are forced to do once you get injured.
