Hello, I'm Kyle Costello

Prior to joining Oak and Iron, Kyle was a full-time remote performance coach with Future, working with over 500 clients during his 4 year tenure. the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Additionally, Kyle served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Springfield College, Northwestern University, and Ithaca College. In these roles, Kyle worked with a wide variety of teams such as football, baseball, softball, track and field, swimmers, divers, crew, and men and women’s volleyball. He also has prior experience as an Exercise Physiologist at the Hackensack University Medical Center, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention department in Hackensack, New Jersey. Kyle is also a former powerlifter, having competed in the 83kg Junior class. During his powerlifting career, Kyle was 5-time Junior National and 3-time Junior world record holder in the bench press. He also won the IPF Junior 83kg World Championship title in 2016. Kyle has been heavily involved in academia as well, obtaining his doctoral degree in Exercise and Sport Science specializing in exercise biochemistry and neuromuscular exercise physiology. During his academic career, Kyle also had opportunities to publish research. He published 2 articles on the topic of health and wellness coaching in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine, and was also published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
