Hello, I'm Jeancarlos Lezama

With over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, JC brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and heart to every session. His journey began back in high school, training friends and pushing his own limits as a standout track athlete. After his track career, he took on a new challenge—learning lacrosse—and continued playing at the club level while studying at Appalachian State University.

During his time at App State, JC worked at the Student Recreation Center and interned with the university’s Strength & Conditioning staff, supporting the men’s and women’s basketball programs. He went on to earn his Master’s in Exercise Science and Nutrition at Sacred Heart University, where he served as a graduate assistant strength coach. There, he led programming for several Division I sports including tennis, golf, fencing, and rowing, while assisting with teams like football, lacrosse, hockey, and basketball.

After several years in the collegiate strength and conditioning world, JC shifted into personal training and leadership roles—returning to his hometown of Gastonia, NC as a YMCA Wellness Director before relocating to the Triangle. Most recently, he managed and coached at F45 in Durham, where he grew membership from 24 to over 150 in just 3.5 years.

JC’s coaching style blends science-backed programming with motivation, humor (get ready for dad jokes), and a commitment to helping every client unlock their potential. Whether you’re new to training or chasing your next performance milestone, JC will meet you where you are and challenge you to grow.

Fun Facts

When he’s not coaching, JC enjoys hanging out with his dog Boone, listening to music, spending time in the mountains, and diving into all things Marvel, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars.
