Hello, I'm Howard Johnson
Originally from South Jersey, fitness has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember. I started coaching early—back in middle school I was already teaching my two younger brothers how to play basketball. Years of competing, including playing one year of college basketball, shaped my mindset: be the first to practice, the last to leave, and never settle for average.
I specialize in athletic and functional fitness, with a focus on helping people move better, feel stronger, and build consistency that lasts. I also have a deep passion for calisthenics—there’s something powerful about mastering your own bodyweight and developing total control, balance, and focus through movement. My goal is always to help clients understand their capabilities and unlock the confidence that comes from leveling up physically and mentally.
Although I studied business in college, my true purpose has always been helping others grow. That passion ultimately led me into the fitness industry, where I help clients create structure, train with intention, and build the discipline and strength that carry over far beyond the gym.
I’m excited to continue building strong relationships, strong habits, and even stronger athletes here at Oak + Iron.
